You have every right to know how your data/information is being collected, and also any financial relationships I have going on with third parties. So without further ado, let get right down to the details. My name is Josh Miller, and this site is a one-man show, which means I’m also the Data Protection Officer, so if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to send me an email about it!

Flip Flops n Fun found at https://flipflopsnfun.com/ (“Website” AKA where you are right now) is governed by the following privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”). From this point forward, I will refer to this site as “THE WEBSITE”. If you want to make this read a little more fun, break out that badass margarita maker and fill up a pitcher.
We respect you and your privacy, which is why we are committed to protecting it. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you what personally identifiable information we may collect and how it may be used. This statement only applies to this Website.
What information do we collect and how is it used?

In addition, you are able to create a user profile, which allows you to create a username and password. We will store the username, but your password will not be visible in our records.
Information We Collect from Others: We may receive information about you from other sources if you create an account using Facebook or Google+ we will receive your name, email address, and avatar.

Google Analytics – this service tracks Website usage and provides information such as referring websites and user actions on the Website. Google Analytics may capture your IP address, but no other personal information is captured by Google Analytics. You can also opt out of Google Analytics you can also use Google Analytics' currently available opt-outs browser add-on.
Visitor Analytics
Visitor Analytics is a simple website analytics service which measures the traffic and visitors' general details of the customers' websites. Collecting these statistics, a website can make their visitors' experience better (e.g. which pages they visit and when, where they are approximately located, where does a user land first or if they are coming from a specific referral).
Basically, as a website owner using Visitor Analytics, we are using cookies to collect data about visitors' device type and screen size, approximate location, browser, OS, IPs, page visits, bounce rate, conversions and popular content on the website. All this data is pseudonymized and Visitor Analytics will never use the collected data to identify individual users or to match it with additional information on an individual user. Each visitor has control over the cookies placement.

You should know that some of my posts may contain affiliate links, which means I earn a commission if you click through and buy from them. This costs you nothing extra but helps offset the cost of keeping this website running and providing you with new exciting content.
EXAMPLE: If I recommend a badass waffle margarita maker and include a link to buy it online, then I earn a commission from that “merchant” if you click through my affiliate link and make a purchase. It’s that simple.
I will only recommend products or experiences that I truly believe will bring you value. If it wasn’t already obvious, I travel a lot.
